Our refill material, named Floradent, is a world first home compostable toothpaste refill. It is a plant-based material created through a natural fermentation process, where renewable feedstocks are converted into a high-performance biopolymer. Floradent is designed to break down under home composting conditions and is certified TÜV OK compost HOME, meaning it can fully biodegrade in a home compost environment without leaving harmful residues. If you don't have access to a compost, it's also okay to dispose of it in your general waste - it will still break down over time.
